Other NASCAR Scanners Mini Reviews
Here are other NASCAR scanners that you will encounter when you search the Internet.
Uniden BC92XLT Scanner
You might want to consider this scanner if you want to save a few bucks. This scanner has been superceded by the Uniden BC95XLT scanner.
It has virtually the same specs as the BC95XLT. Some people want the latest model, others don’t mind buying an older model and save a few dollars in the process.

ProScan 100 Scanner
The ProScan 100 Scanner is also sold as the Sportstronics NASCAR Scanner.
If you’re a casual NASCAR fan who watches the races mostly on television and go to one or two races a year, then you might want to consider the ProScan 100 Scanner.
Its biggest appeal is probably the flashy driver graphics on the scanner and headset. The ProScan 100 is usually sold with an accompanying headset and you can pick one that sports your favorite driver graphics.
It has 100 channels but only in the 450-470 MHz range. That’s the range usually used by race teams, but sometimes they switch to other frequencies when they get interference in that range. When they do that you’re out of luck.
A big downside is the fact that you cannot lock out channels. One channel is set to the always on MRN/PRN channel, which makes the auto scanning function virtually useless. The only way to get rid of that is to delete the MRN/PRN channel, which means you won’t get MRN at all.
This is not the scanner for the serious NASCAR fan. Price wise it is also not that much cheaper than more versatile scanners because it’s usually sold in a scanner headset combo.
