I also hear that they are getting a new model in a couple of months that allows you to save 59 driver channels in each of the 3 memory banks, has a numeric keyboard on the back so you can input the car# and jump right to that channel. It also has the capability for loading the memory bank wirelessly when RACEceiver is at the track. Once the scanner is on pick which bank you want to store the channels in. Do this by pressing hold, then hit FUNC. Scroll up and down using the arrows on #2 and #8 keys... Play around with this until you get to a band you want.. OK: You should already have your frequencies in fron of you. So type in the frequency, and then hit E. The PGM icon should show up in the display... play around with until it works...i orginally programmed mine about 6 months ago then forgot. The instructions you get w/ the unit are terrible..it's like banging your head in the wall... Just be patient and it will work out...it took me about 10 minutes..and once yiou can do one, you can do all of them...just be patient! Ok: Not easy but not super difficult.

In a sense, being a NASCAR driver is like being an astronaut. There are inherent dangers involved and the participants always take carefully calculated risks. To be fair to astronauts, at least the emergency services can quickly get to a NASCAR driver in trouble. Rod Chuck,

This is the first time I have seen the crash since being there in person. We were seated at the end of pit road about 30 rows from the catch fence. I remeber the flash of the explosion near the Start / Finish line; just past our seats the roll cage being knocked into the air and the only thing left on the truck was the fuel cell and engine block. I remember the explosion as the fuel cell erupted after being hit by another truck while in mid-air and the engine block being ejected well into the In Field grass..... The thing I remember most is the complete silence, some crying in the stands, and the erie calm as Geoff lay exposed in what was left of the roll cage. There was no doubt in our minds we had witnessed a terminal crash. The track was shut down for a couple hours after the crash and I remember the announcement that was made that Geoff was still alive but in critcal condition. The place erupted.... From that day forward when I watch a NASCAR race I have a clearly defined respect for those drivers whoose love of racing provides the courage to climb into that seat...I know I couldn't do it. But that's been said before with a lot of other crashes. You've got quite a compliation here of really nasty but non-fatal crashes. Good job.
